Job Description:

This project manager position is responsible for assisting the operations group to plan, schedule, oversee and document all aspects of the pipeline replacement projects. This task will fall under Virginia Natural Gas’ SAVE Program. The Project manager will work closely with field supervisors to schedule resources to complete these projects in an efficient manner. Their focus would also be to work closely with management to make sure that the scope and direction of each project is on schedule, as well as other departments such as our paving, CAD, and Safety.

Responsibilities:

• Generate a project plan for each project assigned
• Create Project Start up Packages
• Create detailed project schedules
• Update each schedule on a weekly basis
• Track and report project production daily
• Create a communication plan
• Identify risks on each project and provide input on potential areas for improvement in process management and operational efficiencies whenever possible
• Prepare and distribute project controls reports for various special projects, as well as standardized weekly reports
• Review crew dailies for accuracy and compliance with contract

• 3 years proven work experience in project management (Construction related)
• Knowledge of scheduling software (MS Project or Primavera P6, etc.)
• Strong analytical & Organizational Skills
• Strong Communication Skills both with the customer and internally
• Ability to balance work load among multiple projects
