JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Human Resources Project Manager (6 months Contract Assignment)
Reports to: Director of Human Resources
Location: Greensboro, NC


JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the HR Project Manager will oversee the delivery of HR projects associated with major business change programs and initiatives ensuring that projects are scoped and resourced appropriately, delivered on time and within budgeted parameters. The role will blend both knowledge of HR process and best practice with a clear understanding of the project management discipline with a significant influence on leveraging technology. Partner with HR leadership on developing change management plans and activities to support division-wide project-related change initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide primary project management services to the HR Division, focusing on effectiveness and continuous improvement.
  • Project manage cross departmental HR initiatives involving system and process evaluations, process improvement, programs, and technology improvement for a wide range of HR processes and systems.
  • Devise and own the HR project plan and ensure key milestones are identified and communicated to Director of Human Resources and other management.
  • Work with the functional HR Leaders, HR staff members, and project teams to ensure the delivery of key project milestones on time and within budget, resource and policy.
  • In partnership with functional leaders, assemble the HR project team, assign roles, prioritize tasks, approve and prepare test scripts, analyze results, test any changes, decide on appropriate solution, and communicate results to necessary parties.
  • Interpret and represent key HR processes and policies, such as redundancy and reorganization, and communicate with the HR team and managers in the company.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership on developing change management plans and activities; Partner with Marketing & Communication Specialist to ensure division-wide synergies exist relative to the development and implementation of communication materials to support project related change initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Project Management, Information Technology, Human Resources or other related fields. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be accepted.
Human Resource Certification is preferred.


EXPERIENCE:
Specialist (minimum 10-15 years of job-related experience)
At least 5 years of HR generalist experience. Professional project management experience. Preferred: Experience with HRIS systems.
