Project Manager

The Project Manager will be responsible for all project-related compliance and reporting activities such as tracking the advancement of active projects, maintaining project schedules, analyzing the weekly revenue and cost data, change management, resource allocations and overall contract compliance.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain weekly the resource loaded project schedules in MS Project
  • Review project schedule of values and associated application for payment
  • Review field daily work reports and track performed quantities
  • Review weekly margin reports for cost and revenue performance
  • Collect data and produce analysis of revenue, cost, manpower and labor hours
  • Analyze project scope adherence during execution and determine variances and impact
  • Facilitate change order submittals per contract requirements
  • Monitor the change order process and status’
  • Monitor and report permit requirements and any schedule impacts
  • Monitor all contract compliance and financial issues
  • Assist in managing vendors, project material and material inventory as needed
  • Assist with subcontractors and the execution of and compliance with subcontractor contracts
  • Track and review subcontractor invoices
  • Review charged project costs for accuracy and ensure cost transfers and corrections as needed
  • Provide support for tracking purchase orders and subcontract commitments and expenditures (Committed Costs)
  • Work closely with project superintendent and operations VP to maintain accurate project schedules and estimates to completes (ETCs) for labor, materials and all other direct costs
  • Participate in PMO weekly conference call
  • Work closely with Controller and Director of Finance in accurately reporting project performance, revenue, cost, and accruals
  • Continually analyze internal control processes/compliance, and implement improvement initiatives

Education & Work Experience

Minimum Requirements:

  • College degree in Business, Management, Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • 2+ years of related work experience
  • Able to work and communicate effectively in written form, e-mail, or in person with all levels of co-workers, clients, and other external contacts
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Possesses advanced MS Excel & MS Project skills
  • Takes personal responsibility for the quality and presentation of work
  • Manages own workload effectively and efficiently; sets priorities, shifts priorities, and adapts to rapid changes in priorities
  • Maintains a positive attitude, professionalism and discretion at all times to all levels of the organization
  • Proven track record of growth and assuming on additional responsibilities in previous positions
  • Able to support a dynamic project environment with time-driven deadlines
  • Detail oriented and skilled at multi-tasking to complete several deadlines accurately and on time.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Finance or Accounting
  • 2+ years of Project Management experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of successful project management practices
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles for construction companies
  • Experience in the Oil and Natural Gas Industry
  • PMP certification in project management

Other:

  • Travel required as part of the job; compensation package includes payment/reimbursement of travel related expenses
  • On-site presence in expected throughout the duration of the project
